Ryota advises clients in all areas of trademark and unfair competition law, intellectual property licensing, merchandising, and other commercial matters. He has extensive experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of contracts including licensing agreements, assignment agreements, distribution agreements, sales agreements, service agreements, non-disclosure agreements, settlement agreements, and joint research and development agreements.

Ryota has handled matters in a wide range of industries including fashion and apparel, consumer products, manufacturing, software, entertainment, and transportation.

Born and raised in California, and having lived in Tokyo for many years, Ryota is fluent in both English and Japanese. He started his career at two global law firms and most recently worked at a Tokyo-based boutique firm focused on cross-border matters.
